You know, there is one thing I hate about Facebook…
Ive never been too big on Social websites. Meaning that Im not ussually too active on them. Yea I join them, check them out but I don’t do a whole lot of interaction. I have a personal Facebook account that I have had for a while. I don’t use it that much, but every once in a while, I get the spam email letting me know someone wrote on my funwall or did something with some random app I have installed on my account.
I like getting the email letting me know there has been some interaction on my Facebook page, those emails are ussually what gets me back to Facebook. I know I can turn those notifications off, but the notifications doesn’t bother me. What I hate is how every one of those notifications take me to a page asking me to invite my friends to use that App. I get a "hug" and instead of going to the page where I can see who sent it and respond, I get a page that list all of my friends, with checkboxes (already checked) asking me to hug my friends.
Facebook in general feels a little too tricky to me. I know what they want, people to keep coming to Facebook, and spreading all the apps around but I kindof feel like Im being beat over the head with what I feel like are cheap ways to advertise the features of the site. Instead of having a link that you can choose to go to and invite people, You are greeted with a whole "invite your friends" page, which many think you have to do before you can see who posted on your Honesty box. I don’t know how many times Ive been invited by several people on my friends list to use the same app multiple times because everyone of them got invited to use that app multiple times.

u r right when u said,”I feel like are cheap ways to advertise the features of the site. Instead of having a link that you can choose to go to and invite people”. but even those applications dont help much. they r just like a trophie on ur profile without any real functioning.

Mmmm i don’t use so much any of the great social media, i like much more, little niche sites, little forum or chats where quite everyone knows everyone, because in every big site i’ve entered, you ALWAYS receive spamming mail. never seen a great site without a form of advertise. I comprehend this but i don’t share it.

I hate facebook with all it’s cheep ways to make you interact with others and basically spam them. I mean yeah- it’s a social website, but it relies far too much on the social part- for example you’re penalized in most games, earning less points just because you didn’t want to interact with strangers or spam your friends with numerous invitations. That’s just not wright in my book.

I used Facebook a lot to begin with, but have grown very tired of it. Contrary to what most people think, I don’t think it’s the future of online. I have better things to do than see what the kids of people I went to kindergarten look like…
