Wordpress users, you might want to upgrade your Wordpres install
There are tons of people using Wordpress. Recently I became one of those ton…yes this is my first Wordpress blog.
My other blog uses Dotnetnuke….which I love the framework, you can do a lot, but the blog module is lacking features that are pretty standard and It hasn’t been updated in a looong while. hence the new blog is a Wordpress blog.
For all you Wordpress users out there BEWARE!!!!
Someone has hacked into the Wordpress servers and altered some of the code in the 2.1.1 version download…..HEY…THATS THE VERSION I HAVE INSTALLED!!!
They say it happened about 3 or 4 days ago (counting from the time the alert was posted on march 2nd)….ok WHEW, I downloaded mine well before that (my first post was on Feb 22). They recommend that if your using version 2.1.1 to download the new version…2.1.2… and upgrade your site. Even though you may have gotten your version before they figured the servers had been hacked, they recommend upgrading anyway….just to be on the safe side.
So far I think Wordpress is a truly great blogging platform, going back to post on my other blog really amplifies that notion.
BTW if anyone know of a way to convert a Dotnetnuke blog over to Wordpress, drop me a line. I don’t think there is but figured Id ask.
