What effect will PC game makers have on PC hardware if they all start making console games?

The other day, I strolled into a local EBGames and noticed that there was a Command and Conquer 3 “pre-order” box on the Xbox 360 Shelf. Command and Conquer 3 on the Xbox 360?
Last night I was listening to an episode of the PC Gamer Podcast and they talked about how it is rumored (think it may be confirmed) that Quake Wars will be released on the 360 and PS3.
Ive heard other such rumors, such as games like Crysis, and Stalker being released on consoles. I have been hearing this stuff and think “what is going on?”.
I know why games that are normally considered “traditional PC games” are making their way to consoles: no doubt its the potential money that can be made, plus the fact that consoles can now technically “handle” these games better than in the past.
I have no problem with seeing some of my PC favorites on consoles, but its getting to the point now where PC game makers are putting console development first, or forgoing PC development all together.
What is this going to do to PC’s?
I’m not talking about PC gaming, but PC’s in general, the hardware?
PC gamers are probably one of…if not the biggest group of consumers that purchase those $600 Video cards, $1000 CPU’s and $3000 high end PC’s. Whats going to happen to those products if gaming goes completely to the consoles? Who’s going to buy those high end products? And if those high end products stop selling, are companies going to continue developing, manufacturing, and trying to sell the high end PC’s and components? Will the hardware manufacturers start to forgo the PC market and put all efforts in bidding to make components to be used in the next console to be developed?
Recently I read about the rumor that the new ATI graphics card is going to be Mac exclusive, is that the way things are headed? Video cards, sound cards, and the like to be made on a contract basis? I love PC gaming….I also love console gaming, but I think in the long run, there will be a bigger impact on the PC world beyond gaming the more PC game makers move their focus from PC to consoles

I think this is something that has been doing the rounds for sometime and I think this will eventually lead to the question, Is this is the end?
I think it is not. There has to be an understanding between the companies and they have to realize no one will but these high end prices and that can eventually lead to a black out.
