Upgrade your cell phone’s voicemail with Youmail.
While looking for new cell phone apps, I ran across a website that I thought was really cool. Youmail is a service that aims to replace your cell phone’s voicemail system…”a voicemail upgrade” they claim, and I think they are truly right with that statement.
To use Youmail, you have to set your cell phone up to send calls to Youmail instead of your regular voicemail system, which is pretty easy to do and when you sign up with Youmail, they will give you directions.
Once that is set up, You can log into your Youmail account and do a lot of things with your voicemail.
- You can use free voicemail greetings (plenty of choices) or upload your own.
- You can add contacts or different contact groups.
- You can give each contact or contact group their own voicemail greeting.
- You can have each voicemail converted to text and emailed to you
- You can get a sms notification of new voicemail and its details
- You can view and listen to your voicemail online (at the website) or from your phone.
There is just a lot more that you can do in general and I think its worth checking out….its a free service
Visit Youmail for more info.

Google is actually coming out with this service for free pretty soon.
May 28th, 2009 at 2:42 pm
Yes, the service from YouMail is completely free, but some providers may charge you a small fee for forwarding your voicemail to a different carrier.
It is very easy to setup, however, problems can occur, such as your phone having restrictions that do not allow you to forward it, which can be fixed (but takes some work).
You can still check voicemails from your phone, you just have to change the number your phone dials for voicemail (which can be done in the settings of most phones, you kinda have to play around with this.)
It’s very helpful, because you can check your voicemails from your computer without having to call, but it’s still very nice to check it from your phone.
I really like it, I had some complications with my phone, and it requires an initial text message be sent, but it’s a really cool service, because you can personalize based on people in your phonebook. You can also use pre-made ones or make your own. It’s a very nice service, and I’d give it a go.

The voice mail of a cellphone was not that useful, good thing they came up with this Youmail. This is really awesome because you can use it for free. In the growing technology of cellphones this is really a perfect fit.
Now people can easily use some features that wasn’t used that much. The features in Youmail will allow you to send and accept messages in different forms. And the good thing here is that you are notified. How great is that?
I agree that this software really works. Now you don’t have to find ways on how to send your message in the way that you wanted it to be sent because it could be done in many ways.

I think,YouMail users can personalize greetings based on who is calling them recording greetings themselves, or choosing from a library of user-generated greetings and away messages. They can also access their voicemail over the web or in their e-mail, easily share special voicemails and save them for life.:-)

The information about the up gradation of the cell is very interesting.
The world of Spy cell phones, there are accessories that are practical, they aid in the protected operation of the phone or allow you to bring the phone safely. Some are there if you want them like downloadable ring tones. I have broken the accessories down into groups to make it easier to describe them.
