Untouched domain gets a Google PR of 1

I have a few domain names registered, only a few of them actually have something on them. Sometimes I get ideas and I will search to see if the domain is taken.
If it isn’t, I will head over to Godaddy (use code pod21 or blu21 and save 10%) and register the domain.
About a year or 2 ago I registered www.43ten.com. I put up a basic ASP website with info on some of the things I had planned, which all the plans has since changed.
Today I got an idea on how to get some traffic to my blogs and it required the use of making an advertising page on a domain that wasn’t the websites I was advertising, so I figured I could alter one of the pages on 43ten.com to do what I was thinking. I headed over to the website just to see what was on the page. While roaming around the page thinking about my little plan, I decided to check the PR. Low and behold, it had a page rank of 1. I hadn’t touched that website in a year and the only links it has was outgoing links to a few of my other domains that I have registered. I think jonzee.com does link back but the PR over at the Jonzee.com landing page is still only 1 (weird story about that, read about it here).
Its not a big deal but I thought it was pretty interesting how a practically unused website with no content and next to no linkage can gain any PR. Maybe I will use that domain for something

yap, I heard about that before too, domain age also determine what PR you should get, I even seen 2 years old domain get PR 2 with nothing, just a single frontpage page… but SEO still the best way to gain decent PR in a short relative time..
