Tired of Wikipedia? Want Encyclopedia Britannica search results in Google? Heres how…

When you do a search for many things in Google, you usually get a Wikipedea entry somewhere in the search results. Those Wiki entries are good when you are looking for certain things. But some things, wouldn’t you rather find results from a real traditional Encyclopedia? Like Encyclopedia Britannica? If you have a Google account, which I’m sure many of you do (especially if you use Gmail) you can set Google up to start showing Encyclopedia Britannica results when you do searches. Note: this doesn’t do away with Wiki results, just adds Encyclopedia Britannica results when relevant.

How to get Encyclopedia Britannica Search results in Google

• First point your browser to Google.com/coop. Log into your Google account

• Look at the second feature description on that page labeled "Deliver specialized search results" and click "Subscribed Links"

• On the left column, under "Overview" click "Directory"

• Find Encyclopedia Britannica and click "Subscribe"

Here you will find a list of websites you can subscribe to, and have Google pull results from,  whenever you do a search. The first site on the list is Encyclopedia Britannica. There are other sites on the list also, like Gamepro.com, Askmen.com, and Gasbuddy. You can even add your favorite website to the subscription as long as you know the RSS feed
