There are lots of ways to get links to your website or blog. If you do a search on the net, you’ll see many options and find many places that will give you good advice on how to build on your connection to the internet world. One option that has gotten pretty popular lately is getting links by way of someone writing a review of your website. When I first heard about people offering to write reviews for  websites, I was a little intimidated by the idea. All I could think about is if my site isn’t up to par, I’m going to get trashed in the review, and that will make my efforts thus far null and void. I use to think that you had to be really confident about your website, or really arrogant…then one day I realized the benefit of having reviews done of your site.

One thing you have to think about when someone does a review of your site is who ever reads that reviewers blog has now been exposed to your blog or website. If the the reviewers blog has a big following, for that moment in time, that following has also been exposed to your site and many will check it out.

Another benefit of having reviews written of your website is that most search engines use links to and from websites to determine how relevant an article, website and or blog post are to whatever search term or topic people use to find what they are looking for.  When someone writes a review about your site, that person has now linked to your site, and have given you relevance and has connected you to a topic. That review is part of the websites "content" and not an area that is set aside for links (that holds less value with some search engines). Once you have received that link from the review, that link will now be indexed by many search engines and directories with that review. Its a permanent link that will work in your favor for a long time.

After thinking about many of the benefits of having a reviews written of a website, I finally realized why this has become a popular trend. I recently became a member of sponsoredreviews.com , and over at their blog, they have a posting that gives more reasons why sponsored reviews are a great tool for building links.
