Out with Twitter, back in with Joost
As if anyone was even paying attention, A few days ago I got rid of the Twitter widget that was on the right side of the page. I talked about Twitter a week or so ago, created an account, said I would try it out for a few days. So I did, I started sending little text msg's from my Treo. Sent a few the first day, a couple more the next. Then I thought about it and remembered that I only have 1000 text msg's a month.
I use text messaging a little bit already so I started thinking if I get to where I was using Twitter a lot, I could end up seeing it in my cell phone bill. Even still, I was like oh well, I just have to pay attention to what I'm doing.
Anyway, after a few days, I lost all excitement about Twitter and now I'm over it completely, hence the removal of the widget.
On another note, I have a renewed interest in Joost. Before I said that the content on Joost was really lacking but I logged in today and noticed that there are a few more things to watch. They have added content from MTV, Comedy Central and more. Its enough now that I started recommending it to my non geek friends (who would've thought Joost was boring before). So if you have tried out Joost before and thought it was boring, it might be a good time to give it another shot.
