I re-install Windows about every 6 months. Ive always done so for as long as I remember. Another thing I always do is accumulate a long list of bookmarks, or favorites as you would call them in IE. When I re-install Windows, every once in a while, I’ll forget to save my bookmarks. That really suck. Many of the websites I visit often, I usually remember the url or know how to get it pretty quickly. But sometimes, there are those websites that you run across that are interesting that you may not visit much at all, or even know how you found it so trying to search for it at Google doesn’t help.

Foxmarks-Bookmark-SynchronizerLately Ive been using a service called Foxmarks, actually its a extension for Firefox. First of all, its free and what it does is synchronizes your bookmarks in Firefox. When you download and install the extension, it prompts you to create a an account. After you get that all out of the way, Foxmarks will take care of backing up and syncing your bookmarks without any thoughts or worries on your part. The best thing about using Foxmarks is if you re-install your OS, all you have to do is install the Foxmarks extension and sign in and your bookmarks will be restored.
