I have listened to the same podcast for a while, sometimes I add a few then I remove them. But there are a few that I have added in the past few months that I consider keepers. Figure Id tell you about them, maybe if you aren’t already listening to them, you might like to check them out.

The 404

The 404 is one of the newer Cnet podcast, I started listening to them since day one and kind of grown to like the show a lot. Its basically a pop culture show, with topics that range from tv, movies, video games, current affairs, just about anything that is happening right now. The show is really entertaining and fun to listen to.

Wilson Tang, Jeff Bakalar and Justin Yu are the regular host, then they usually have a guest host in the 4th spot. They sortof remind me of a toned down “shock jock” radio show (I really hate to use that term with them), but they are a little more natural, like friends having a conversation.

The show is a daily show and last about 30 minutes. Its also in video form but you can check out The 404 page over at Cnet here. heres the RSS Feed if you just want to subscribe now.

The Pet Fish Talk Show

I use to really be into aquarium fish. Ive always been proud of my Jack Dempsey that I bought, kept for 3 years, then sold back to the fish store when I moved to an apartment in the mid 90s. One day, I was looking around at Mbuna’s and decided that when I start my hobby again, that’s the type of tank I want to set up. so while doing a little research I ran across the Pet Fish Talk show.

I have to warn you, this is aquarium fish nerdery at its best

pet-fish-talk

The show is hosted by the Bailey brothers, Tom and Nevin. They have been in the Fish breeding, hobbiest, aquarium business for a long time and have lots of useful information for people who want to learn about keeping fish, and also just some interesting general news and talk about fish. The show is usually pretty long, about 2 hours, and the one guy talks over everyone but I really enjoy the show. They usually have callers that will call in and either ask questions, or talk about their experiences.

I have found this show to be one of my new most looked forward too shows every week and if you have an interest in aquarium fish, you can visit the site here, or subscribe to the RSS feed here.
