Hmmm. Now there’s an honorable approach. You give your time and thoughts to your readers, why not have the readers give a little back. I’m sure you’d blog about the experience right?

Yep, the main reason why I want to go is to blog about what I see and the products that are being shown. (I also have a blog that covers gadgets - http://www.jonzee.com)

@ Josh
People ask for donations for various things on blogs and websites every day. For some it work, for some it doesn’t. Ive given donations to websites or blogs before because I was for whatever cause it was. Ive also been to websites that I thought “who will give them money for that?” then look and find out they got what they were asking or are closer to their goal. Ive asked for donations before and have received a few, more than I was expecting. Which I wasn’t expecting any, but that doesn’t mean never ask.
It all depends on who you are, who reads your website and why you are asking for donations.
