Have you heard anything about Vista’s viruses?
So…..just how safe is Windows Vista? I cant speak from personal experience on this because Im still waiting on my upgrade. I was just sitting here thinking about Vista, and the claims that it will be more secure.
Ive heard a lot about the incompatibilities, and people’s opinion of Vista. But to be honest, I haven’t heard anything about Vista Virus’s or anything that would lead me to believe that Vista isn’t living up to Microsoft’s claim of security improvements.
Is Vista living up to those claims?
I wonder, so I did a quick search on Google to see if there was any news out there about viruses for vista and the only thing I found was the one claim, that was later rescinded.
I was watching Geekscape today, and there was a brief conversation about Vista. When asked, the guest on the show said that Vista’s way of being more secure is by asking you a bunch of questions whenever you go to do anything.
That may indeed be annoying, but I do think that is what a LOT of users need. I cant tell you how many times Ive been watching over someones shoulder and they click on things that are scams or tricks online. There have been tons of people that has gotten viruses and spyware because of the fact that basically, a lot of people just cant see that some popups, messages, and things they get in email just isn’t right and they will click away.
Besides, doesn’t the Mac OSX ask you to sign in whenever you go to do certain things? Never heard about any complaints there
I don’t doubt that Microsoft may have went overboard for some when it comes to the questions.
But its an effort.
The real question is what else have they done? I don’t know but whatever it is, it is obviously working….for now.
