Get your invite to Pownce yet?
A while ago, I tried out Twitter. I thought it was interesting for a few days, but eventually I stopped using it. I think my Twitter feed is still there somewhere. Recently I was lucky enough to receive an invite to Kevin Rose’s new project called Pownce. Pownce is very similar to Twitter where you have a micro blogging platform but that isn’t where it ends.
As with Digg.com, they made efforts to add a lot of those small but cool features to make usability of the platform very enjoyable. There are a few features that goes beyond what you have with Twitter, such as being able to send files, add hyperlinks, grouping of friends etc. Looks like there is a lot more personality built in to the program itself. But the real personality comes with the users, as you can see with Robert’s enjoyment when being labeled a "video rockstar" by Kevin.
I have signed up and poked around a little bit but haven’t actually had a chance to really make use of it. I am liking that Pownce desktop app.
